The First Rummage Sale
The first rummage sale, Trinkets & Treasures Rummage Sale, was inspired by the idea of synergy. Together we can achieve more than would be possible individually. Not everyone can give a substantial portion of their income to charity each year, but most people are willing to donate their household items which are no longer being used. By collecting these items and selling them in a yard-sale fashion, we were able to make a significant gift to the Junior League of Dallas which would not otherwise have been possible.
About Rummage Roundup
Rummage Roundup is the 2nd annual rummage sale event benefiting the Junior League of Dallas Community Service Fund which provides financial support to 40+ local nonprofits. The sale is organized and operated by a group of women dedicated to making a difference in the Dallas area through fund raising and volunteering.
Leading up to the sale, volunteers will be collecting donations of gently enjoyed goods from the public which will be stored and then sold at the rummage sale. The Rummage Roundup will be held in the Freeway Hall of the Dallas Market Center on April 30 May 1, 2011. Everyone is welcome to come and shop for a good cause. All profits from the sale will be donated to agencies which reflect the needs in our community.
